Description
As Artificial intelligence is becoming more prominent it’s important to understand how it can impact K-12 education, and help. The AI Education Toolkit is an online guide for K-12 educators, policymakers, and parents with resources to increase AI readiness in Ohio Schools.
Part 2 of the AI Toolkit is a compilation of resources that can be used to best implement responsible AI policies within school districts. These resources are based on the model layed out in Part 1 of the toolkit, Policy Development for AI. These resources are broken up in to two categories: general guidelines and education specific guidelines. The general guidelines on AI were developed by experts both in the United States and internationally, and include resources from the White House, the European Commission’s Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI, and the Bletchley AI Safety Summit. The education specific AI guidelines are existing policies and information from throughout the United States and international organizations, including the the US Department of Education, Stanford University’s Policy Analysis for California Education, Unesco, and several state department’s of education.
This is an excellent resource for policymakers, district officials, and stakeholders looking for examples of existing policies and best practices around AI.
