The Stalking Prevention, Awareness, & Resource Center (SPARC) created Responding to Stalking- A Guide for Advocates. 

This guide starts out with a section on understanding stalking. This section covers information about what stalking is, how you can recognize stalking, how stalking can impact victims, and how you can best support victims of stalking. It also addresses common forms of stalking and crimes that often overlap with stalking. The second section focuses on how advocates can help victims of stalking. This includes knowing about common reactions to stalking, creating a safety plan and documenting the situation, understanding restraining and protective orders, and utilizing address confidentiality programs. The guide’s final section has case scenarios to practice responding to stalking as an advocate. 

This guide is an excellent resource for mental health professionals, parents, educators, and pediatricians. Understanding what stalking can look like, the impact it can have on victims, and how you can help advocate for victims helps to reduce dating violence.
