In the last video of this series, Dr. Bruce D. Perry explains how behavioral modification techniques using rewards and consequences are ineffective for many students. Dr. Perry recommends regulating relational strategies and restorative justice models to lessen challenging behaviors in schools. He shares strategies teachers can use to improve students’ social, emotional, and academic functioning.
