Description
Many students have recently immigrated to the United States and one in four students in the United States come from immigrant households. These students can face challenges both in and out of the classroom as they adjust to a new setting, are in a new culture, and learn a new language. It’s important for educators to be aware of the challenges students may face and implement strategies to help students be supported and successful. This downloadable resource outlines three strategies educators can use in their classrooms to help support students coming from different cultural backgrounds.
