This tip sheet was created by the Family-Run Executive Director Leadership Association (FREDLA) for families. It begins by explaining what comprehensive school mental health is and why it is important. It also provides families with information on how they can advocate for mental health support within their schools including communication strategies and resources they can share with decision makers. This tip sheet is a resource to help families better understand the importance of mental health support within schools and start advocating for it.
