Myths vs. Facts About Underage Drinking

Categories: ,

SAMHSA created this myth vs. fact sheet for preteens and teens, and the adults who care about them.

FREE

Description

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) created this fact sheet for preteens and teens, and the adults who care about them.

It compares the myths with the facts about alcohol use among youth and the effects of alcohol use.

Parents can use this to start conversations with their children about underage drinking and alcohol misuse.

Educators can use this in health classes, with coach and parent meetings, after school, and to share with youth-led prevention groups.

Pediatricians can provide this information to parents and patients. A great time to begin sharing this would be during middle school.
